The President's speech last night was moving and well crafted. I am thankful that our President does make an effort to include God during these difficult times. I am also thankful that our President appears to be a true Christian. I think the entire nation is holding its breath waiting for the next shoe to drop. Will it be another terrorist attack perhaps this time with biological, or chemical, or God forbid nuclear weapons. Or will we hear of American troops attacking in Afghanistan? We know something else will happen soon. We just don't know for sure what it will be or how it will affect us. One poll said that 7 out of 10 Americans were depressed. I don't believe we are so much depressed as we are anxious. We are anxious about what is next. Philippians 4:6-7 is a passage of Scripture that has brought comfort to generations upon generation of Christians. Let us take comfort from it as well. "Be anxious for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

Yesterday I was on the road going to Elk City where Imogene Pickering was having surgery and Don Roberts was having an angiogram. Don had a blockage and they immediately sent him to Oklahoma City for a balloon procedure and installed a stint. The procedure went well and Nick and I left after hearing that Don may be able to go home today. We went back by Elk City and Imogene was awake, alert and we had a nice visit. We made it home in time to hear the President's speech.

Today I hope to be able to visit Imogene again and I need to visit my mother at Canute. Hopefully I will be able to make some more progress on the messages for Sunday today as well.

Thirty-three of us at the school's flag pole this morning as we observed See You At The Pole. Read 2 Chronicles 7:14, many prayed, and sang "Awesome God." Going to Elk City as soon as Nick is ready. Don Roberts is doing better and may not have had a heart attack. He will have an angiogram Thursday. Still need to finish Bible study for tonight.

We pray God will "heal our land."

Did not accomplish very much Monday with going to Canute to visit my mother. She is about the same and one caretaker has hurt her back and so she must be replaced at least temporarily and maybe permanently. That took up much of the morning and part of the afternoon. Had just returned home when received call that our Chairman of Deacons, Don Roberts, had suffered a heart attack. So we returned to Elk City. Don is in ICU and is receiving heparin and hopefully has not had a lot of damage but do not really know at this point. Hopefully, will know more on Tuesday.

Tuesday I will be going back to Elk City to check on Don and there is a committee meeting Tuesday night that I must attend. Hope and pray that Don recovers quickly. Hope no one else suddenly has problems with a heart attack or something else.

Well, one thing we are sure of and that is the rapture did not take place Monday. I'm not sure if those predicting the rapture on Monday have rescheduled their prediction or not. Usually when the first prediction fails there are recalculations and admitting of error and a new date set for the next year. This happened in the late 80s and also in the early 90s.

Let us pray that there will be some survivors recovered from the rubble of the World Trade Center Complex. It is looking impossible but our God is a God of miracles. So, don't stop praying!!

If you haven't read Ezekiel 26 you ought to. The symbolism is very evident.

A very good report which is helpful in understanding this crisis was written by stratfor. Their address is: www.stratfor.com
I have a friend who says that tomorrow morning the rapture will occur. It would be nice to be raptured out of this world avoiding the pain of physical death but I have my doubts about His coming tomorrow morning especially since someone is predicting it.

I just wonder what is going to happen this week? Whatever happens we just need to remember to look up!
"My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up." - Psalm 5:3.

Let us continue to pray!
