I'm back...
After much effort I was able to reclaim my blog today. It has only been five and half years or so since I last posted anything here. Much has happened in our lives since then.
I resigned from Sweetwater First Baptist Church at the end of 2012 for several reasons including problems with my voice, health concerns for me and for Jeanie. Only a year prior to that time Jeanie had a large atypical clear cell ovarian tumor removed and then went through nearly six months of chemo. We fully expected that the tumors would reoccur and additional surgeries and chemo would be necessary. However, the cancer has not returned nearly three and half years after her surgery which has amazed her oncologist and surgeon.
About six months after I left Sweetwater and we moved back to where I grew up on a farm south of Canute, Oklahoma my voice began to improve. A few months later my voice was completely well. We have since learned that a lot of black mold was found in the parsonage at Sweetwater when they did some remodeling on it. We now believe that my voice problems and possibly even Jeanie's cancer may have been caused by the mold.
In October 2013, I began preaching at Rhea Baptist Church near Leedey, Oklahoma a little country church with only a very few members. When I first began preaching in 1990, Rhea was one of the church I supply preached at a couple of times.
Since 2009, our son, Clark, has moved from Broken Bow First Baptist Church in the far southeast corner of Oklahoma to Yukon's First Baptist Church. Yukon, Oklahoma was where we were living when Clark was born.
We have been amazed at how God has provided for us giving us a home which we love and bringing physical healing to us so that we can continue to serve Him. God is good! God is great! All the time!
