The last day of our revival went well including the school assembly and Baptist Collegiate Ministries lunch. The revival finished on a high note with a large crowd for the final night and three girls making professions of faith. They were not from our community and attend other churches but it was still exciting and wonderful to see God move in their lives.

Several things happening today. School assembly followed by our church serving lunch at Baptist Ministries at Sayre college. Youth fellowship at 6pm and revival service with a mini concert by a youth praise team. Praying that young people will be impacted by these events.

We had a good service last night and I believe these revival services are making a difference and at the very least allowing our people to see the serious problem that we have in our community with substance abuse. We cannot continue to ignore what is going on.

Last nights revival service was better and I believe that the Spirit was moving and some important things were accomplished spiritually. At the very least we had a meaningful time of prayer. Apparently the 17,000 figure that I had for deaths from substance abuse each year was only for Oklahoma. Because nationwide the total number of deaths from substance abuse each year is three quarters of a million people according to Eric Chaffin director of S.A.N.E.

We only had five young people present for our Revival Sunday School. There were a couple of more that came for the worship service. Friday night there was a lock-in which we participated in with another church and 14 young people from our church attended that event. There are 30 young people that could have attended Sunday morning. It may partly be the result of our youth leaders not supporting this effort since they were not in attendance either. At least I know that we have done all that we can do to attempt to reach out to the young people. Wednesday will be another event for the young people just prior to the revival service. Also we are being allowed to have a short assembly at the school Wednesday morning. Not sure what else can be done at this point.
