So far in our travel to the Southern Baptist Convention and side trips to do some work on our genealogy we have found that the friendliest people were found in Fayetteville and Shelbyville, Tennessee. In fact they are some of the friendliest, kindest people that I have ever encountered!! One of them told me a story about how they had once had a man from New York move to their area. Whenever they would drive by his house and he was outside he would turn away when they drove by. Eventually they just stopped and asked him why he did that. He told them that people in New York did wave at people and they told him that he needed to start waving if he was going to live there! Maybe we all need to be a little friendlier and kinder.
